N. Dzagnidze - A. Ushenina. Exchange variation of Slav Defense was played. White had some pressure on the Queen side but Ushenina methodically traded almost all the pieces and left Dzagnidze with no chances to win. Draw was agreed with threefold repetition on move 35.
A. Stefanova - B. Khotenashvili was an interesting encounter. Until move 15 Khotenashvili was repeating Harika Dronavalii's moves against the same opponent at the 2012 Women's World Cup.
Stefanova-Dronavalli Women's World Cup 2012
Dronavalli played 15...Bd6 and after 16.Qc2 Qf6 17.f3 Neg5 18.h4 Ne6.19.B:f5 N:e5 20.B:h7+ Kh8 21.de Stefanova won the game. Khotenashvili played 15...Bf6 reserving the d6 square for the knight. This was an improvement and and in order to keep the initiative alive Stefanova sacrificed her knight. This wasn't probably very correct, but both players were in time trouble and Khotenashvili decided to return the piece and end the game with threefold repetition. Draw on move 31.
The next game that was drawn was B. Tuvshintugs - H. Dronavalli. White had some problems in the opening, but Harika made some inaccuracies allowing Tuvshintugs to consolidate the position. In the rook ending Batchimeg had an extra pawn and good chances to win.
On move 54 she missed an easy win.

Kosintseva tried a new idea in a well known position, but very soon had to regret about her choice. White organized a strong attack on the king side and with undeveloped pieces of the queen side black was unable to put any resistance. The final moves were pretty impressive.
20.Ne4! R:d1+ 21.R:d1 B:d1 22.N:f6+ Q:f6 23.B:f6 Nc6 24.e4 Kh7 25.Qd3 Bh5 26 B:e6! and black resigned.
O. Girya - H. Danielyan was a positional game with equal chances, but being in time trouble Elina overestimated her chances.
White has just played 38.c5 now 38...dc was leading to a position with equal opportunities. Black played 38...Nf3? instead and after 39.c6 Re7 40 Bd3 Nd4 41 Rc1 Nb3 42 c7 had to resign.
V. Cmilyte - A. Muzychuk was the last game to end today. It was a very tactical and complicated game, but always with chances for both players. In the endgame that was very close to a draw Cmilyte made a mistake.
